A Bit About Me
I currently serve as a Clinical Psychologist at PPC, working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families across a wide range of psychological, emotional, behavioural, and relationship concerns.
My clinical experience includes working with depression, anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, trauma and trauma-related difficulties, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, relationship concerns, self-esteem difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have experience in psychological assessment, case formulation, clinical interviews, report writing, and psychoeducation, allowing me to support clients through both therapeutic intervention and a deeper understanding of their psychological needs.
I have experience supporting individuals affected by trauma and difficult life experiences, including emotional triggers, difficulties with trust and safety, persistent distress, and past experiences that continue to influence present emotions, behaviours, and relationships. I take a trauma-informed approach that prioritises safety, sensitivity, collaboration, and each client’s individual readiness.
My clinical work also extends to Couple and Family Therapy. I support couples and families experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, relationship distress, family tension, parenting-related challenges, and significant changes within relationships or family life. Therapy focuses on understanding underlying patterns, improving communication, navigating difficult emotions, and developing healthier and more constructive ways of relating to one another.
I primarily tailor my therapeutic approach using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating DBT-informed skills, person-centred principles, emotional regulation strategies, and trauma-informed care according to each client’s needs, goals, and readiness. Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, I believe therapy should be thoughtfully adapted to the individual and the challenges they are facing.
I also have experience with psychological assessment tools and enjoy helping clients and caregivers gain a clearer understanding of their emotional, behavioural, and psychological functioning. Assessment can provide valuable insight into a person’s strengths, challenges, and appropriate next steps for support.
What I value most about this work is helping people make sense of experiences that may feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words. I believe meaningful change often begins with feeling genuinely understood, asking the right questions, and gradually developing a clearer understanding of ourselves and the patterns that shape our lives.
My priority as a clinician is to create a safe, respectful, honest, and non-judgemental space where clients do not feel rushed or pressured to have everything figured out. Whether I am working with an individual, couple, or family, I aim to walk alongside them as they develop insight, strengthen practical coping and emotional regulation skills, improve their relationships, and move towards a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who they are.
